Malapposition

Stent struct apposition is assessed by direct measurement of the distance between the strut and the vessel wall. It is considered malapposed when the strut-vessel distance is greater than the nominal strut thickness (white square). Xience stent was used for this case, ≥100 µm can be defined as malapposed.
