Underexpansion

DES 3.0x12 mm was implanted at mLAD. Suboptimal stent expansion (measured minimal stent area 3.5 mm²) with plaque prolapse (*) are visualized in this image. Suggestions for an adequate stent expansion; minimal stent area >4-5 mm² or 80% expansion of reference lumen area. The corresponding case is available in IVUS.
