Stent fracture

IVUS can identify complete stent fracture and partial stent fracture (stent struts absence in >1/3 of the vessel wall.) In this IVUS case, stent struts can not be identifiable in the stented segment which means complete stent fracture. Most stent fracture reported in sirolimus-eluting stent, also in second generation drug-eluting stent. Stent fracture can be incidental finding in asymptomatic patients.
