Red thrombus

  1. Description

    A red thrombus is rich in erythrocytes causing high backscattering on the surface and high signal attenuation. Red thrombi appear as a bright mass, visualized on 12 to 5 o’clock. And absorbs near-infrared light and cannot assess behind thrombus. The corresponding case is available in IVUS.
