Calcified plaque

Calcified plaques appear as a signal-poor heterogeneous region with are well-delineated borders, being consistent with calcium. Deeper tissue can be visualized due to low attenuation. The thickness of calcium can be measured when compared with IVUS. The corresponding case is available in IVUS.
