OCT by PIC Peshawar

  1. Description

Signal-poor area (asterisk) which is caused by catheter position near or touching the vessel wall. It can be confused with thin-capped fibroatheroma or plaque disruption. The optical beam passes along the wall which is parallel to the tissue surface causing attenuation and produce an area of the signal dropout.
