Ruptured TCFA

A large empty ruptured cavity(asterisk) is seen together with residual fibrous cap fragment. Discontinuity of the fibrous cap is clearly seen. The point of rupture on the fibrous cap is at 11 o’clock position (arrow). The thickness of the fibrous cap is 45 µm. The corresponding case is available in IVUS.
